Are You Ready?

Terry’s life was lining up. His sales team was humming. A promotion to branch manager looked likely. His kids were happy at school. He and his wife had a vital teaching ministry at church. And just lately, in a few conversations with coworkers, he’d shared his faith.

Then came the promotion . . . to a branch in another city. Terry froze. Leave? Uproot? Start over? God wouldn’t do that—would he?

As he neared Damascus on his journey,
suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him,

"Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

"Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked.

"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
"Now get up and go into the city,
and you will be told what you must do."
