What was it with Trish’s boss? He was distant, abrupt, even rude. “Is it my fault?” Trish wondered. “Something I’ve done?” Unable to ask her boss, Trish talked to herself. “When there’s something you don’t know,” she said, “Focus on what you DO know.”
Trish knew her job. She continued to meet deadlines, find solutions, and smooth her boss’s way. The tension passed, and Trish never learned what was wrong. She did, however, learn again how to deal with the unknown.
