Mark recently bought a new pair of glasses. His distance vision had improved, but his up-close vision had deteriorated. These new lenses, besides being just right for his aging eyes, also have a special treatment to reduce glare.
When he first put on his new glasses, the world looked freshly clear and precise—in high definition. In fact, everything around him seemed almost too crisp because he had grown accustomed to living in a state of blur.
