Faith and Work and the Next Generation

Young Professionals more than anything want meaning. They are looking for purpose in their lifestyles, their recreation, and their employment.
This is a perfect hotbed for a resurgence of the faith and work movement. That’s why The High Calling has begun a Young Professionals emphasis, and why many other organizations, conferences, churches, and groups are seeking ways to link faith, work, and younger employees.
The Institute for Faith, Work & Economics has noted this change and is featuring those who are trailblazing vocation in the next generation. One of those leaders is Austin Burkhart, who “became captivated by the idea of influencing a generation of Christians to embrace business excellence and missional impact to maximize their workplace influence for Jesus.”
“I wanted my local church to celebrate and equip Christian leaders in business, education, science and the arts the same way they celebrated and equipped foreign missionaries,” said Burkhart. “We cast a huge vision for gathering Christians together to celebrate, encourage, and challenge each other to unite faith and work.”
