Caring for the Little Ones
Blog / Produced by The High CallingIt’s an easy one to overlook—the commands in the Bible to take care of orphans. Most of us know the commands are there, but we're not sure how to follow them or we feel overwhelmed.
The more I study Scripture, though, the more I'm convinced that caring for the orphan is something we should all be involved in somehow.
This is the point where I feel like breaking out into song. Something like Whitney Houston's Greatest Love of All...
I believe the children are our future,
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside....
If you could hear me sing, you’d probably click the mute button as fast as you can! But there’s just a truth to these words I can’t get past. And it breaks my heart when I think about all the children in the world who'll never understand their value, never learn how they can lead the way—never know how beautiful they really are.
At the end of February, there will be a gathering of idea-makers and world-changers in NW Arkansas to deal with this issue, through The Idea Camp. Over the past couple years, some pretty exciting movements have come out of conversations facilitated through this group.
So I’m really excited to see what comes out of this one!
Behind every movement are stories, so between now and the end of February when people will gather in NW Arkansas, we'll be sharing some of those stories here.
