Advent may cause you to think about holiday sales, calendars filled with chocolates, or maybe candled wreaths on cold Sunday mornings. But Advent is really a movement—a movement that Jesus started and continues to send forward. In a way, it moves without us. In another way, it only moves with us.

Advent means “coming,” and it is. Methodically, surprisingly, independently, collaboratively, Jesus is coming with a story of purpose for our work.
