Your Labor on Labor Day: August 30 Newsletter
Newsletter / Produced by The High CallingAs we enjoy the long Labor Day weekend, let’s not forget what the holiday celebrates: ordinary, everyday work. If you’re a pastor or church leader, we have resources for this week to help you recognize the labor your congregants do. If you’re a worker, this newsletter has encouragement for you to persevere in the everyday. We hope all who labor will join us in this prayer:
“God, help us to build a new world in the midst of the old, a world where all workers are valued. We pray for the coming of a world where all workers everywhere share in the abundance that you have given us. We ask that you give us the courage and strength to live out our faith in the workplace and in the marketplace, as well as in the sanctuary. Amen.”
